We're slowly getting back into routine; Andy had lunch with Tanner today. His dissertation currently sits at 350 pages. Thena and Gail have been taking turns sitting on the monitor. Thena apparently doesn't remember her paw-dangling trick, though I discovered that Gail's plume of a tail nigh on blocks the whole screen when all is said and done. While looking for something else on the web, I found a site of some incredible paperweights. This is a serious ferret shock site for people who like dichroic glass. Without even looking at the names, I ended up liking the aurora one best; big surprise. Now I clearly need to become a benevolent dictator of a small island nation so visiting dignitaries will present me with these.

It was car-bound errand day today, one thing which I won't miss once we actually get back into real routines. I dropped off the film from the weekend at Wal-Mart, got Andy more saline solution while there, and rescued two Snowflake teddies who were my Mom's last Christmas present to Andy and me. Then I went to Whole Foods to replenish our Brown Cow stash. They're still out of egg substitute, which is now slightly worrisome. I left my remaining egg powder with Mom, fully expecting them to have gotten more in since last week. I also picked up some butter, which is hopefully the last thing I'll need to bake the committee bribes.

Once safely home I started my chicken soup and I started thawing Andy's. He likes white meat better and I like a tomato base in mine, so I make two batches. He also likes the noodles to be cooked in the soup itself. Unfortunately there wasn't much broth, so I had to add water to keep the stuff technically soup, and I think I went a bit overboard -- Andy said it was somewhat bland.

I also got laundry from the trip done, then spent a chunk of time switching out the summer clothes in out closet to winter. You can tell we both come from places which tend to have longer winters; our winter clothes outnumber the summer by at least double. I also cleaned out the litterbox, which appears not to have been done while we were away. Thank goodness it's a Littermaid, so it was mostly a case of the container the clumps are raked into needing to be emptied. I also had to put in nearly a litterbox load of fresh clumping stuff, since most of the old stuff had been raked up.

I saw the bunny, or possibly both of them, on round six of my walk tonight. I spotted one, but it ran off before I could get the camera ready. A few seconds later a bunny flew by from the opposite direction. Either it was bunny #2, or else the first bunny was silly and circled me. I got the second bunny (instance) in some pictures which I'll probably put up later this week. Speaking of pictures, Andy has uploaded the panorama shots from our trip upstate.
