We had four until July 4th 2022 when we lost Marie, and finally last Thanksgiving I couldn't stand it and went out and adopted a kitten (they said she was two, but that was clearly incorrect and our veterinarian said she was more likely ten months) from the shelter, who had been severely underfed by her first owners. We fattened her up and she has turned into a marvelous cat. The one fault in her is that she likes to pester our oldest cat, Jacquie, and Jacquie clearly doesn't like it.
