Ok, time for a real entry

Let's see, things which have happened recently...

Our new car continues to be wonderful, and now says "Narf" thanks to the NM MVD.

There are a lot of people to whom I owe e-mail.

Monica (Heidi's foster mom) is back and feeling better.

Andy continues to get better at grilling steaks. Yum.

Gail and Heidi continue to be cute.

I have a feeling the staging area album on gallery.spundreams.net is overflowing, but Neverest is down or electricity is out in Durham again, so I can't check.

Andy and I need some help with casting the next Muppet Movie.

We looked at ellipticals at Sears today. Oddly enough, one of the cheaper models was the smoothest. When we got home we discovered the manufacturer undercuts Sears by $100 and is offering free shipping until Oct 12th. Does anyone know if there is any significant difference between a Pro-Form 800 and a Sears Pro-Form 820, or is it the same model but numbered especially for Sears? I couldn't find 800 or 820 on epinions, but they did list the 700 and 900. We also got the manufacturer and model number of Andy's parents' elliptical -- it costs 6-7 times what the one we were looking at did. I believe we'll be waiting for quite a while before we get one like theirs.

Andy came home from work sick today, so send nice thoughts and/or prayers his way. Especially since we're taking plane trips on Friday, and sinuses get really nasty that far up.

If I'm really fast tomorrow I may get caught up on all the housework which piled up while I was in upstate NY.

It looks like local roadrunner went down for about an hour. The connection went down at 12:03 and I just noticed it back up at around 1. I also saw that other local people on irc who were using roadrunner had been knocked off, so that's why I surmise that it was more than just the local loop.

Anyway, it's back up now, and should hopefully stay up.

I was refered to you by wolfsamurai. He says that you work at Clark's on Menaul. I read some of your journal and you have my sincere condolences about Thena. On a lighter note, I'm going in for a pre-cancer removal surgery tomorrow and was hoping to go pick up a new kitten on Saturday. Can you kind of help me out? I was just wanting to pick up one that is no less than 6 weeks old. Fur color isn't an issue, I just want one that's sweet, devoted, and loves love. ^_^ Anywho, if you could get back to me, I'd love to add you as a friend and talk some more. Thanks!

Hi there. We couldn't adopt out kittens under about 8 weeks; they're too young to be separated from their mothers and usually too young to be fixed. Also, when adopting out really young kittens PACA prefers to adopt out two, unless the person has another cat. There are two tiny kittens currently in Kitty City; black Moon and his brother orange/white Shine were born in early June. It's really hard to tell this young what they'll be like, but Moon seems to be friskier and Shine is more wont to curl up near me when I'm sitting.

I'm going out of town tomorrow for a wedding, so I can't give any more information. Do note that Moon at the very least will probably be going home on Saturday due to the proximity of Halloween. I don't know if they'd even let anyone adopt him, but perhaps if you print your comment and mine out, Monica and Myrtice may make an exception. The adopt-a-thon runs on Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00. Adoption fees are $80.00 and include neuter/spay (already done), first shots except for rabies (must be administered by a licensed vet), and microchips. PACA has a strict no declaw/no outside rule, and will ask you to sign a contract to that effect. They will also ask you to sign one which promises to return the kitty to them if at any point in the future you don't want/can't care for it.
