This is for echoweaver. I dug it up after watching the LOTR: TTT extended version with Andy, Echoweaver, and her husband last night. The link leads to a very condensed summary of the movie, and even though having read the Very Secret Diaries will make it even funnier, they aren't strictly required to understand most of the humor. Hee. In answer to the FotR one I present this post (http://www.livejournal.com/users/turnberryknkn/73027.html), made by the gentleman (and fellow SCAdian, if you're still into the SCA) whose comment is below this thread. It's a several part post; look for callicrates to be mentioned and that's where to start.

We haven't yet had time to look for the Easter Eggs on TTT yet, alas. I have a feeling it may be into 2004 before we have a chance for the hunt.
