Thanks for the info. I think I'll use my parents' method for their spruces, which was to plant a ton, see which survived, and after a few years thin the survivors out by way of Christmas trees. Which kind of trees did you get; the fruit, the oaks, or the spruces? Or did they have different options at the time?
