A Brief Interlude

And, for a rare change, a TTO not about my cats. In light of this article, this one is for the Syfy Network.

This is the way we lose our core,
Lose our core,
Lose our core.

This is the way we lose our core
Viewers without even trying.

[insert standard commentary regarding intelligence of network executives here]

Now, now. On this one, we can mention Bonnie Hammer by name. She's been driving the network down this path over the course of the last eight years or so.

Ah, so she's the one giving folks syfyllus?

It's her and...oh, now I have to look his name up. David Howe. He's currently president of skiffy.

Hammer used to be, but she cancelled Farscape and brought in wrasslin' and then got promoted. This is why we can't have nice things.

A sadly familiar story. And it seems I misspelled "syfylis" too.

How...silly.

Heck, they lost me a long time ago. I get everything I need from the internets now.

If Syfy were a person

"Hey! Watch me! I'm edgy, hip and cool!"

"Oh really? What shows do you have?"

"Umm, Farscape...and Firefly, and an original movie that none of its actors will publicly admit doing, uhh..."

"Say, weren't you called the Sci-Fi Network?"

"Why would you think that?" *scratches behind ear nervously*

I guess it's not a big loss. The only actually Sci Fi thing on the SciFi channel is BattleStar.

Gee, does that mean I now work for SyfyGenre.com?
