I mostly spent the day working on pictures. Here are the results:

The ever growing kitty albums
The best of the pictures from my September visit to Rome
The Zome stuff which made up the majority of Andy's birthday presents

I also tried to get a backup of BR running on neverest, but TinyMUSH was being a pain and complaining about a ton of stuff. I'm sorry to those BR-types reading this, but for now we'll just be sticking with the refugee site at cesium.clock.org 6666 with a jumpoff point you can '@tel #333' to.

Another thing I need to learn is not to do frustrating things in the evenings, because I tend to overreact more the more tired I get. I hope I can get to sleep fairly easily tonight.

For those who've asked, here's the recipe for Dutch Apple Pork Chops. They go really well with mashed potatoes. They are not Celiac-safe, however, unless you can find an alternative to the oatmeal for the "breading".

6 butterfly pork chops

6 cups macintosh apples, the tarter the better
1 cup sugar, or maltitol if you're diabetic
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp flour, or flour substitute if allergic to wheat (I used oat flour)

1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup sugar/maltitol
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine

Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Arrange the pork chops in a 13x9 or similar-sized baking pan;

In a large bowl combine the apples, cinnamon, flour, and sugar and set aside for 15-30 minutes. I've found that it works best if you mix the dry ingredients before adding the apples;

Melt the margarine while mixing together the oatmeal and sugar. Add the melted margarine and stir well (this is the part I'm considering doubling for next time);

Pour the apples over the pork chops, then spoon the oatmeal mixture over them;

Bake at 350F until the pork chops are thoroughly done. Sprinkle the cheese only on the chops you'll be eating, then return the pan to the oven long enough to melt the cheese.

These reheat well, but if you add cheese the first night it will burn on subsequent reheats.
