This was one of those days where I got a lot done, yet when I go to list it it doesn't look like much. Anyway, my desk area is now much cleaner, a lot of laundry has been processed, and our bedroom has been straightened up after I tore it apart to gather all of the clothes I'll be getting rid of. I also got a bunch of insurance forms signed by the pharmacist at Harris Teeter, and did a bit of shopping for stuff to live on before we take off on Monday. I'm all packed (suitcase, extra stuff we're lugging, and backpack) as of this evening. Despite her best efforts, Thena did not manage to be part of the luggage.

Cat in luggage

The Gray Mouser, pictured in the above photo, generally climbs into our luggage whenever we travel, and gets irritable if we don't take him along. Once in a while, he comes with us, and loves it, but how often does one travel with ones cat?

Oddly enough, for how much she tries to get herself packed, Thena hates traveling. She really lets her displeasure be known in the car (if the ride is long enough she loses her voice), and when traveling as under-the-seat luggage on a plane she often has people in the rows in front of and behind us looking around frantically. She also doesn't do well on sedatives. We tried it once, on her first plane trip, and she got mean. On all future flights we didn't even try it, and she's still plenty unhappy, but not nasty like that first time.
