> I thought the sitcom thing just assigned random actors
Nope. I started suspecting otherwise when several people with actors whom I managed to recognize kept showing up as the actor in any journal they showed up in, then confirmed it when I tried the toy a few times. I'm Sammy Davis Jr. Let's see; short, thin, male of non-European descent who was an extremely talented actor, comedian, dancer, and singer. Cast to play a tall, fat, female of mostly eastern European descent who wishes she could act, make people laugh, dance without tripping herself and everyone else on the dance floor, and who could probably sing again if she took voice lessons. Yup, sounds about par for course for Hollywood casting.
> I found you as a friend of either Tyee or Halsted's journal
Ah-hah! Way back when, when you first friended me, I looked at your interests and saw fireflies. Since it was right around when I started talking about my fireflies and assorted other critters on my walks, I though that maybe that's how you found my journal.
As a side note, it's mostly you who got us into geocaching; I'd vaguely heard of it but really started paying attention when I read about the various expeditions in your journal. Then when Andy mentioned getting a GPS I mentioned geocaching, and next thing I know he had a GPS and had thoroughly researched caching.
