willowispAndy and I have been putting off clothes-buying for quite a while, and as a result most of our clothes are pretty bedraggled. The other day, after I noticed that my pants had more elastic than cloth showing around the waist, I asked him if I could get some emergency pants. The end result is that a Land's End order has been placed and Andy has been randomly laughing about the term "Emergency pants" since last night.
I seem to think I did not coin the phrase, but I can't remember where I might have seen it. It sounds like something a Sluggy Freelance character might say; I'm pretty certain it isn't Animaniacs or Calvin and Hobbes. If anyone out there has an idea, please let me know.
