Ohh, that's the other book. Dragon's Kin is the one about the ridiculously retconned watch-whers. The oh-look-another-plague one has dragonets going between by themselves within a few months of birth and a bunch of other non-canon absurdities. There's a woman who loses her queen and, aside from a few pages of angst, isn't particularly bothered by it. Quite a departure from earlier books; hell, *I* still haven't gottten over Wirenth's death.
