I also need to learn not to try to surprise him by doing housework Hmm, I thought you guys did the same thing OJ and I do and you each have chores that you are responsible for. In my experience, the best surprises are when I not only get all of my usual obligations done early, but also do something else that needs to be done that we haven't been getting to. (and getting the usual stuff done first is always important, because I hate having to watch him be torn between being happy with what I did and being annoyed because I didn't get my usual jobs done. But that's just my experience, your mileage may vary, grin.
