Comings and Goings

Andy and I've spent the last three weeks or so traveling; him for business and me tacking on a brief visit to friends in the same general area as his travel. I finally got to meet esmerel and merlinofchaos's six month old daughter, Charlotte. I also met my first Wii. Oh, and hung out with some other people. It was so good to see them again; I really need to work on traveling more.

After a brief interlude at home I visited clubjuggler and jklgoduke, though we arrived after their (ahem) year-old son was asleep. I keep telling him he's not allowed to grow in between visits, but he won't listen.

Yesterday and today we're visiting Denny, Regina, Dannielle, and Erica. As is customary when we visit them, someone got sick (other incidents, at least one of which I will link in later, include Heather having her appendix out while we were visiting 16 days after Dannielle was born, and callicrates and Heather both getting food poisoning). Today's doctor visit was just a cold which has gotten a bit too cocky, so not quite as nail-biting as times past.

We'll be heading back to the Raleigh Durham area a little later this afternoon, then catch a plane home tomorrow. Andy has only one more trip this year, and otherwise we're staying home. The furthest we may go between now and New Year's is to echoweaver and hubby's house for gaming and/or for Orphan Thanksgiving.
