Song a Day Meme: Day 07

willowispToday's entry should have been day six, but day seven's song and event were so appropriate to today that I decided to switch them.
A song that reminds you of a certain event: "The Throne Room" by John Williams, which we used as our recessional for our wedding thirteen years ago to date.
The wedding occurred on a gorgeous spring day in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where Andy was attending grad school. It took place at The Carolina Inn, a beautiful historic hotel run by Doubletree.
The processional was "Book of Days," the English version, by Enya.
My maid of honor was Andy's sister, Erin. My sister, Pamela, and Andy's and my friend Sherry were bridesmaids. Andy's best man was his best friend Tony, who happened to be the son of our officiant, a former Roman Catholic priest who left the priesthood to marry Tony's mom. The other groomsmen were Dan and Lars, dorm mates of Andy's from his undergrad school, Northwestern University. Andy's cousin, Hannah, was our flower girl. My maternal grandfather walked me down the aisle.
Our wedding cake was midnight chocolate (a family recipe) on top and bottom, and almond cake with lemon curd and raspberry puree fillings in the middle. The icing was buttercream.
The recessional, which can also be heard in Star Wars: A New Hope when Han and Luke get their medals, begins with a fanfare similar to the more familiar Mendelssohn song. When the actual music started, about half of our guests looked a little confused, while the other half burst out laughing as they figured out what we had done.
We gave our guests bubbles to blow instead of having them throw rice, rose petals, or what-have-you.
