You may want to look into something like Rescue Remedy for the travel to mellow out your cat if you don't want to give her medication. I've used it with my cat when she's had to travel and it's been a blessing...and she travels really well. Next time the kitten (who is ten and a half months now) has to go in the car, I may try it with him because he doesn't travel well at all-yowls the whole time. Someone else also recommended Benadryl for the cat, but I'm not comfortable with that.
There are companies that specialize in transporting pets too...that might be something to think about, if they'll compensate that as a moving expense.
(My cats would be miserable in one large carrier together, so I don't have any good suggestions.)
