Sep. 13th, 2002 11:47 pmAlthough I was up far too late last night I did manage to get up in some semblance of time today. Andy and I did our usual appointments after lunch, then went to Southpoint for an impulse dinner out. I saw a blouse at Coldwater Creek which I absolutely adore, so today I wore a skirt which I was hoping would match it, and it did.
Andy and I then went to Sears to see if they have Land's End stuff in yet (the clerk said they're expecting it to arrive in mid to late October. Land's End by web is going to be out of some pants which Andy desperately needs until October -- I hope he gets them in time for his defense). While at Sears I saw another blue blouse which seemed as if it might match, and then I noticed it was in the junior section: oops. I wandered over to women's and on the very last rack I came to, I found a very pretty blouse which matches the skirt and which costs six times less than the one at Coldwater. I'm mulling over getting the Sears blouse and wearing it and the skirt for Andy's defense. Then I can wait for the Coldwater one to go on closeout.
Andy has a tentative defense date: October 23rd. At this point it is still subject to change, but at least we now have a working idea of when it'll be. Andy will hopefully be done and will have had several revision runs by the time he defends, which won't hurt anything.
Today Andy made something from the normal blue and the advanced green struts. I recognized it immediately -- he'd folded the same shape as origami a year or two ago. Sadly all of our extent origami versions met an untimely demise at Gail's paws, but I know we have pictures of them somewhere. I'll definitely put the Zome version into the LJ photo album in the next day or so, and if I can find a picture of the origami version and get it scanned in, I'll put it up as well.
I saw a bunny tonight on round two of my walk. It let me get closer than the skittish one does, but ran away in the opposite direction that the silly one usually does. Maybe they share a stunt double (Skittle), and it couldn't decide which one it wanted to play tonight. I also saw my firefly impostors, which were gorgeous as always.
